Whether a windscreen can be repaired depends on the type, size, depth and location of the damage. We inspect the windscreen before recommending the most suitable option.

Damage That May Be Repairable

A repair may be possible when:

The chip or crack is small and localised
The damage has not spread across the windscreen
The damaged area is away from the edge of the glass
The damage does not significantly affect the driver’s vision
Only the outer layer of the windscreen is damaged

Every windscreen is assessed individually, as damage that appears minor from the outside may be deeper or more extensive than expected.

When a Repair May Not Be Suitable

Repair may not be appropriate when the damage is too large, deep or widespread. Damage near the edge of the glass or directly within the driver’s line of vision may also require a different solution.
